Excursions from Malaga
Malaga, a beautiful sunny city on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Capital of the Costa del Sol. It is very well connected with the rest of Andalusia by highway.lhambra and the Generalife in Granada, the Alcázar Palace and the Cathedral in Sevilla, the Mosque in Córdoba, the picturesque countryside of Ronda and the “White villages” on the “Costa del Sol”.
Within an hour you can reach the resorts of the Costa del Sol or whitewashed villages in the mountains, but it is well worth travelling a bit further to see the magnificent Alhambra Palace in Granada. There are good public transport links by train or bus along the coast.

Even if you were only a bit interested in culture / history etc, then a trip to see the Alhambra in Granada is a must-do. It really is a wonder of the world - and is an easy daytrip as it's less than 2 hrs from Malaga. You MUST book your entry tickets in advance as they restrict numbers (by issuing timeslots on tickets) for the best part (the Nasrid Palaces inside the Alhambra).

Granada, Cordoba, Ronda and Seville are easily accessible from Malaga by train or bus. The three of us are gorgeous cities with lots of things to do and see. Within Malaga's province, you could do Ronda and surroundings (Valle del Genal), the Antequera area, where a visit to the Menga caves and the Torcal are a must, and the Axarquia where there are some of the most beautiful villages in the province (such as Frigiliana). Then there is the coast (Costa del Sol), which has two parts separated by Malaga city itself.
